These terms are a legal agreement between you and Anmoku Laboratories Pty Ltd (ABN 28 696 938 100), the operator of the Hype League Football project ("Hype League", "we", "us"), governing your use of hypeleaguefootball.com and related services, including our API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What Hype League is

Hype League Football is a free, for-fun fantasy football game scored on media coverage rather than on-field performance. You pick a roster of four NFL players and earn points when fantasy football news sources publish headlines about them during the scoring week.

Scoring at the date of these terms works as follows:

• a headline about one of your players: +2 points
• if the headline is positive: +1 point
• if the headline is negative: −1 point
• if the headline contains a recognised football cliché: +1 point

Rosters lock in on Sunday (12AM–12AM ET) and score from Monday to Saturday. We may change the scoring rules, timing and format at any time, including mid-season.

2. No prizes, no entry fee, no gambling

The Service is provided free of charge. There is no entry fee, no purchase, no wagering and no prize of any kind. The "weekly crown", leaderboard positions and league standings are for entertainment and bragging rights only and have no monetary or other value.

Hype League is not a gambling, betting, wagering or real-money contest service, and nothing on it should be interpreted as an offer to gamble or as betting advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

4. Your emoji username

Hype League has no accounts, no registration and no passwords on the website. You identify yourself with a self-chosen 4-emoji username.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• an emoji username is not a secure credential, is not password-protected, and is not verified as belonging to you;
• usernames are not exclusive or reserved — the same combination may be used by other people, and is claimed on a first-come basis for each week;
• anyone who knows or guesses your combination can view, submit or change entries under it, and join or leave leagues as it;
• you have no ownership rights in any username, and we may reassign, retire or remove any username;
• you must not deliberately impersonate another user, or use a username to harass, deceive or mislead.

Because there is no login, you are responsible for everything done under a username you use. Do not use the Service to store anything confidential, sensitive or valuable.

5. Leagues

You may create private leagues and invite others with an invite link. If you create a league:

• you must not give it a name that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes anyone's rights or impersonates any person or organisation;
• you must not include personal or identifying information in a league name — league names are visible to others;
• we may rename or delete any league, and remove any member, at our discretion.

Anyone with an invite link can join a league. Leagues may be deleted automatically when the last member leaves.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use bots, scripts or automation to submit entries at scale, to claim usernames in bulk, or to otherwise manipulate leaderboards, scores or standings;
• submit entries under usernames belonging to other people, or otherwise interfere with another user's entries or leagues;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its database, its API, or any other user's data, or probe, scan or test its security without our written permission;
• place excessive load on the Service, or scrape it in a way that degrades it for others;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes anyone's rights;
• remove, obscure or alter any notice on the Service.

We may suspend or block access, and remove entries, usernames or leagues, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached — without notice and at our sole discretion.

7. API and MCP access

We make certain public read-only tools available through our API and MCP server. You may use them for reasonable personal and non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

We may rate-limit, change, restrict or withdraw API and MCP access at any time without notice. Automated write access (such as submitting rosters) must not be used to manipulate outcomes or claim usernames in bulk.

8. Third-party content and NFL trademarks

The Service displays headlines and links from third-party news sources, together with automatically generated scores and sentiment classifications. That content belongs to its publishers.

• We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for third-party content.
• We make no representation that headlines, sentiment scores, statistics or player data are accurate, complete or current, and automated classifications will sometimes be wrong.
• Following a link takes you to a third-party site governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Hype League is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored by or associated with the National Football League (NFL), the NFL Players Association, any NFL club, or any news publisher. All team names, player names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.

9. Our content

The Service and its contents — including the Hype League and HypeScan names and logos, the Hyper mascot, the intro video, artwork, copy, design and software — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission, except as permitted by law.

To the extent you submit any content (for example a league name), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and use it for the purpose of operating the Service.

10. Availability and changes

The Service is under active development and is provided on an "as available" basis. We may:

• change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time;
• change the game rules, scoring or schedule;
• reset, migrate or delete data, including rosters, scores, leagues and historical standings.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not obliged to preserve or back up your entries.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that scores or rankings will be accurate, or that defects will be corrected.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including certain rights under consumer protection laws in your country. Where such laws apply, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to AUD $100. This reflects the fact that the Service is provided free of charge.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hype League and its operators from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause and without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 16 — will survive.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will post a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict of law rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

17. General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
